At ília, we believe innovation only makes sense when it drives real transformation. And few changes are as impactful as those that begin with education.
This belief inspired the creation of Brinquedo Lógico, a social initiative that brings together technology, volunteerism, and educational impact with a clear goal: to expand access to scientific and technological knowledge for public school children in the Federal District of Brazil.
In partnership with Young Engineers BSB and Valéria Rosa Alves, a teacher at Classe 08 do Cruzeiro, we are applying a methodology recognized by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The approach uses building blocks and hands-on learning to make engineering and programming concepts more accessible from early school years, in a playful, inclusive, and highly engaging way.
More than a one-time initiative, our support for Brinquedo Lógico reinforces ília’s commitment to ESG practices that generate social, educational, and human value.
About STEM Education:
Encourages interest in science and technology careers;
Improves school performance in math and science by up to 2x (UTFPR);
Develops critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills (Horizon Report 2022).
To scale our impact, over 20 ílians have already completed 10 hours of volunteer training and are actively supporting the initiative in classrooms. With more than 10 classes delivered, we’ve implemented key improvements, including adapted kits for neurodivergent children and strengthened volunteer engagement, ensuring a more inclusive and welcoming experience.
The first edition of the project is expected to reach over 200 children, creating engaging experiences that spark curiosity and a genuine interest in science and technology.
“This project enables children to access activities that would otherwise be difficult to reach, promoting their cognitive and emotional development. Additionally, exposure to robotics helps spark interest in the world of technology, broadening horizons and creating new opportunities for their future,” explains Christine Fidelis, COO and CPO at ília.
A movement that blends creativity and education
This initiative reflects ília’s broader commitment to driving positive transformation through technology, strengthening both our culture and our role as a catalyst for change in society.
Because when we connect knowledge and collaboration, we’re not just teaching, we’re planting the seeds for real, lasting change. And for us, that’s what purposeful innovation is all about.
